In a letter to FHFA Director Sandra Thompson, CHLA is asking Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to adopt a policy of offering a reasonable indemnification in lieu of a repurchase demand for performing loans. The letter complements a letter in late March asking the GSEs to require more accountability for aggregators in executing repurchase demands for correspondent lenders.
