CHLA Statement on FedFin Study That Finds ICE/Black Knight Merger Could Harm Small Lenders

Today, the Community Home Lenders Association (CHLA) Executive Director Scott Olson released the following statement on the Federal Financial Analytics (FedFin) study which found the ICE/Black Knight merger could have negative, unintended consequences on small lenders.

“CHLA agrees with the FedFin study that found the ICE/Black Knight merger could create a monopoly which would harm small lenders. This study echoes the letter we sent to federal regulators calling for an antitrust review of the merger. We will continue to call on all policymakers and stakeholders to evaluate the unintended consequences this merger would have on small lenders and the overall mortgage market.”
