As reported by Brian Collins in National Mortgage News, with the passage of the tax reform bill by the Senate appearing to be a certainty, Sen. Mike Rounds, R-S.D., has sponsored an amendment to exempt mortgage servicers from a provision which requires them to pay taxes upfront before servicing revenue is received.
